Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon, one of the so-called noble grapes, is often considered the world's most prestigious and age-worthy red grape variety. It is the backbone of the great wines of Bordeaux's Left Bank, California's Napa Valley and beyond. The Languedoc's leading estate, Mas de Daumas Gassac, was planted with vines grafted from the First Growths of Bordeaux and, as such, makes full-bodied wines with firm tannins and excellent aging potential. They are, typically, rich with dark fruit flavours especially of blackcurrant with complex notes of cedar, tobacco, graphite, and plain chocolate. Enjoy them with roast beef, steak, lamb etc.
