Corvina
![]() |
Corvina is the principal red grape of Italy's Veneto region and the mainstay of Valpolicella, Amarone, and Ripasso. It produces wines which have vibrant red fruit characters (cherry, raspberry, and red plum) yet modest alcohol levels (except for Amarone!) and elegant structure - they tend to be medium bodied with soft tannins. These are wines to pair with classic, everyday Italian food such as pizza and pasta, grilled meats and aged cheeses such as Parmesan or Grana Padano. |
