The 2020 Servoisine has all the usual characteristics of this lieu-dit (dark, concentrated fruit, good tannic support and lively acidity) but, coming from the mighty 2020 vintage, more power than usual. It's a keeper but can be enjoyed young, preferably decanted in that case.

Cépagement: 100% Pinot Moir
Soil: 
Upbringing: Grapes are 100% destemmed. After fermentation, wines spend 16 months in assorted oak barrels (Francois Freres). Decidedly non-interventionist winemaking.

'Notes of sweet cherries, cassis, licorice and loamy soil tones preface the 2020 Givry 1er Cru Servoisine, a medium to full-bodied, powerful and concentrated wine with powdery tannins and lively acids. It's reminiscent of a more dynamic version of the 2018.' 91-93/100 (William Kelly, Wine Advocate)
