Tasting Notes: At a tasting of 2010 Barbaresco last year, this came out top, along with the Nada Giuseppe. Excellent structure to support the pure Barbaresco take on Nebbiolo. Some attractive spice too.
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2015 to 2028 | Cépagement: 100% Nebbiolo | Upbringing: After pressing, the grapes ferment for eight days followed by a four day maceration. The wine matures for 18 months in barriques of which 30% are new and 70% used so as to not to extract too much oak during the process. There is additional fining in steel casks up to 12 months before bottling. | ABV: 14.5% |
