Tasting Notes: Elegant yet full-bodied but not overblown. Good structure with lively tannins that dance along right through to the finish. Lovely Grenache fruit, quite modern. Very long.
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2016 to 2027 | Cépagement: 95% Grenache (100+ years old) and others from La Crau. | Upbringing: Yields are extremely low (16-18hl/ha) unfiltered wine excuse a potential natural and beneficial deposit aging wine. | ABV: 15% | Critic Reviews: 'One of the stars of the vintage. Offering up gorgeous Grenache character with ripe blackberry, kirsch, liquorice, old pepper and earth, it is a full-bodied, rich and voluptuously textured effort that possesses fantastic purity, loads of fruit and grippy tannin.' 93-95+/100 ( Wine Advocate)
'Dark crimson. Treacle toffee nose. Explosive fruit on the palate. This wine certainly tastes as though it has a story to tell. Relatively 'cool' but far from skinny. Well balanced and tightly clenched. Admirable freshness but no excess acidity.' 18.5/20 (Jancis Robinson MW)
