Tasting Notes: Delicious, full, hedonistic Côte Rôtie with intense, toasty black fruit characters. Drinking well already, this will continue to mature until the end of this decade and promises to drink well into the next. Last tasted 23/01/2006: still extremely vibrant with excellent Syrah fruit. No hurry with this, it will probably be even better at the end of the decade (and beyond). | Drinking Dates: 2010 to 2020 | Cépagement: 85% Syrah, 15% Viognier | Upbringing: 24 months in new oak casks | ABV: 13.5% | Critic Reviews: "Full-bodied with notes of black raspberries
intertwined with honeysuckle and toast. Explosive on the palate with outstanding
richness, admirable glycerin, low acidity and high alcohol, the wine should be
gorgeous to drink young yet age well for 12-15 years." 92 points ( Parker).
"Seamless.
Shows lovely, sweet fruit and firm but ripe tannins, with enough good acidity
kicking in on the fresh finish. Offers a panoply of spice, smoke, fancy oak and
black fruit. Should improve with cellaring. Best from 2003 through 2015."
