Tasting Notes: Amber in color with a balanced nose of plums, almonds, vanilla and some spice. Soft and mellow in the mouth (with a little fire, of course) and a lovely round texture. Long, long, long.
All wines from this estate | Cépagement: Ugni Blanc, Bocco | Upbringing: The eau de vie generally drips from the travelling alambic still at 56° alcohol. From there it goes into a vat to blend for several days before being pumped into barrels, most of which have been refurbished by the local cooper. After about four years, Armagnacs of the same vintage are blended together once again, then placed into older casks. Apart from an airing once every couple of years, they rest in the well-ventilated chai until bottling. | ABV: 42% | Critic Reviews: Gold Medal (Councours Agricole, Paris) |
