Tasting Notes: Pure Cinsault but the vine age (planted 1961-62) brings incredible depth to the variety's naturally red fruit character, giving the fruit a blacker edge than you would find from younger vine examples. There is a richness and warmth not usually associated with this variety which is so often used as a blending grape but Stéphane has demonstrated that this is a grape which can produce top drawer wines on its own. Fresh with good acidity and dancing tannins and no oak getting in the way.
