Critic Reviews:
"Named after a local tale that this stony, well-exposed top of the hillside was roamed by a little man and a black, truffle-hunting dog. 50% unoaked Grenache and 50% Syrha aged in barrique. Vines are 30 to 50 years old. Much less fragrant and more brooding than the Ribes du Vallat blend. A much more serious wine than the price suggests but not yet ready. Still quite a bit of tarry, grainy tannin and some very obvious Grenache sweetness in the mix too." 16.5+/20 (Jancis Robinson MW)

"A head-turner. A full-bodied, incredibly pure red that offers ample notes of black raspberries, wild strawberries, garrigue and crushed flowers. It has a touch of oak to integrate, beautiful mid-palate depth and a great finish. It's a smoking' good effort that will have a decade of longevity." 91-93/100 (Wine Advocate)
