Tasting Notes:
The quality of the fruit goes without saying at Domaine de Cristia but if anything sets 2010 apart from other vintages it is the structural elements. Certainly this is quite high in alcohol but it wears it well. Tannins are well integrated and there is good body here. However, it is the acidity which gives this wine a wonderful lift and adds a little extra freshness.

Critic Reviews:
"A beautiful wine, the fleshy, concentrated 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as copious incense, black currant, cherry, damp earth and forest floor notes." 91/100 (Wine Advocate)

"A very juicy, unctuous, fruit-driven style, with flattering plum, warm linzer torte and boysenberry fruit melded together and backed by lively anise and sweet spice notes. There's a good sappy feel through the finish." 93/100 (Wine Spectator)

"Attractive, full robe. Has a nicely soaked fruits air that brings in raisin and date, but is free, not overbearing. It shows a lees effect for now. There is plenty variety to come in this bouquet. It has a tasty black fruit, prune start, with a stylish build-up of flavour as it goes. Has a silken texture, and genuine Châteauneuf-du-Pape unforced, sweet roundness. It will please people a lot, and drink well young, ie 2014-18." John Livingstone-Learmonth, (
