Tasting Notes: Another intense wine oozing black fruits and hints of vanilla spice. Lovely Mourvedre - Stef Usseglio is becoming a master of this style. Not typical (Grenache-based) Chateauneuf but delicious all the same (think Hommage a Jacques Perrin but with a lower price tag). This will probably drink younger than earlier vintages.
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2015 to 2025+ | Cépagement: 70% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache, 10% Syrah | Upbringing: 3 week fermentation in cement vats where it remains for another 10 weeks for malolactic fermentation before being transferred to oak casks for 12 months. Bottled unfiltered. | ABV: 14.5% | Critic Reviews: "It possesses a modern yet gorgeous profile with big blackberry, cassis, roasted meats, tree bark and liquorice aromas and flavours all soaring from the glass. This full-bodied, decadent and textured beauty stays remarkably fresh and elegant with fine tannin and great purity of fruit." 95/100 ( Wine Advocate)
