Tasting Notes: From various appellations of the Southern Rhône Valley including Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise, the wine also represents a diversity of ancestral clones from the Southern Rhône region. Grenache dominates but the strawberry perfume of the Cinsault shines through well.
| Drinking Dates: 2024 to 2030+ | Cépagement: 50% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre. | Soil: The emphasis was deliberately placed on the diversity of soils allowing a beautiful expression of the grapes: Triassic, limeston | Upbringing: The Cinsault was vatted and then bled to the extreme with open drainage for several days. This made it possible to enrich the must with a solid quantity of Cinsault without adding the liquid volume. The Grenache was bled so the juice could be added without matter. Fermentation and long maceration at moderate temperature with a little Mourvèdre which completed the whole.
Mostly matured in Wine Globe: 220-liter glass vats allowing aging and vinification in small, separate volumes. | ABV: 14.5% | Critic Reviews: "Restrained nose, showing complex aromas of petrichor, redcurrant, smoked meats and earthy nuances. Elegant and harmonious on the palate." 92/100 (Decanter) |
