Tasting Notes: A Burgundian purity defines this cuvee which we have tasted over several vintages and found to be extremely consistent. A well-rounded example of one of our most popular red wines.
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2021 to 2025 | Cépagement: 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah (10-50 year old vines) | Upbringing: ORGANIC. Aged on its lees in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 9 months. | ABV: 14.5% | Critic Reviews: 'From 10- to 50-year-old hand-harvested vines on south-facing clay limestone slopes. there's blackcurrant fruit with an uplifting herbal nose, Medium-bodied but seamless. Well-balanced, elegant. Plenty of life left in this yet! Organic.' 91/100 (Matt Walls, Decanter)
'70% Grenache, 30% Syrah – vines are 10 to 50 years old. Unoaked but aged on lees. Pale to mid crimson. Full and rich with a hint of something gamey before lots of vital juice. Lots of grip, concentration and ambition. Seems a shame that this fruit used to disappear into a co-op blend.... Pretty hot on the end but good tension on the way there. Really full of 2015 life. Already delightfully readable but clearly this has the potential to become more complex. VGV' 17/20 (jancisrobinson.com) |
