A true Rancio but, unusually, made from Muscat. It has a distinctly grapey Muscat nose, sweet and, perhaps, slightly nutty but then on the palate, the rancio effect kicks in: the wine is, unexpectedly, almost completely dry. Lots going on here (I won't spoil it by telling you what to expect) and for a very long time. If you are at curious about wine, this is one to try!
2011 to 2030
100% Muscat à Petit Grains
An experimental cuvee fermented and aged with more oxygen present than is generally considered sensible with just the fortifying grape spirit to hold it together during its ageing in a two year-old oak barrel.
