Tasting Notes: Intense, complex wine with an excellent texture and nice layer of oak. Medium-full bodied, good weight and mouthfeel with plenty of raspberry and blackberry fruit and well-rounded tannins. Lots of potential but drinking well already.
A year ago, this was a mere toddler. As the bottle progressed it grew up though going from slightly awkward to deep and interesting. A year on, the wine has developed magnificently with sweet, plummy Malbec fruit and a touch of Tannat's blackness and tannins. Gorgeous stuff. | Drinking Dates: 2008 to 2015 | Cépagement: 90% Malbec, 10% Tannat (50-year-old vines) | Soil: Clay-chalk | Upbringing: The wine spends its second year in 1-2 year old barrels |
