Tasting Notes: A Burgundian purity defines this cuvee which we have tasted over several vintages and found to be extremely consistent. 2021 is a fruit-forward vintage with wines for medium-term drinking. In other words, lots of fun to be had with this one.
All wines from this estate | Drinking Dates: 2024 to 2027 | Cépagement: 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah (10-50 year old vines) | Upbringing: ORGANIC. Aged on its lees in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 9 months. | ABV: 14.5% | Critic Reviews: '70% Grenache, 30% Syrah – vines are 10 to 50 years old. Unoaked but aged on lees. Pale to mid crimson. Full and rich with a hint of something gamey before lots of vital juice. Lots of grip, concentration and ambition. Seems a shame that this fruit used to disappear into a co-op blend.... Pretty hot on the end but good tension on the way there. Really full of 2015 life. Already delightfully readable but clearly this has the potential to become more complex. VGV' 17/20 (jancisrobinson.com) |
