Maison Albert Sounit, Rully

|
Based
in the village of Rully, one of the northernmost in Burgundy's Côte
Chalonnaise region, Maison Albert Sounit was founded in 1851 by
Flavien Jeunet. Today it is under Danish ownership.
The house produces a range of wines from throughout
the Côte Chalonnaise but the gems in its portfolio are without doubt the
Crémants
de Bourgogne, some of the very best Burgundy has to offer. Made using
the méthode traditionelle as in Champagne, Sounit uses only
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the two noble grapes of its northern
neighbour to produce superb quality - and value - alternatives
to Champagne.
The Sounit Crémants make regular appearances in the
Guide Hachette and other publications. |
