Auberge du Vin, Mazan
We have known Linda Field and Chris Hunt since they were our neighbours in London (so that's going back a while!). Over the last few years they have converted a typical Provençal farmhouse just outside Mazan at the foot of Mont Ventoux. The house is surrounded by the vines of the Ventoux (formerly Côtes du Ventoux) appellation which has increasingly good and affordable wines but it is near to the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Rasteau, Séguret, Cairanne etc. Linda and Chris welcome guests all year round for wine holidays; helping them explore the wines of the Rhône Valley together with its picturesque hillside villages and charming restaurants. Linda is a qualified WSET Wine Educator with many years of experience of learning, teaching and judging wine in London. Accommodation is offered as part of a Wine Weekend or Wine Week or on a bespoke basis. Linda is happy to tailor a programme for you either in terms of wine, interests (such as cycling through the vineyards - they have lots of other ideas to spark your interest) or for your own exclusive group of friends or family (client entertainment/wine club/birthday or anniversary celebrations). At certain times of the year, they also offer daily bed and breakfast (Chambres d'hôtes) in the main house, or the self-contained cottage can be rented by the week.
